Project Proposal Form

Contact Name*
The project description should summarise the objectives of the project. These should be measureable and achievable within the time allotted (July to October). For example, if part of your project is to improve how you manage and communicate with the participants of a program your organisation runs, an objective statement could be: “Implement an online people management tool that will allow us to collect contact information, monitor involvement and easily communicate with program participants to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of how our organisation engages with participants.”
Students will devise their own implementation strategy to meet the objectives of the project (your organisation will sign off on the strategy/s they put forward), but to give us a good sense of what the project will involve, we’d like you to provide a quick “road map” of the steps you might take if you were to implement the project yourself.
'Deliverables' refers to the outcome or parts of the outcome that lead to the project's successful completion. For example, the project will have been successful if it results in a video being created, crowdfunding platform being created, content strategy being created, $2000 in funds being generated.
Ideally students will liaise with not more than two contacts within your organisation and these contacts will be able to respond to emails within 3 days and sometimes be able to meet face-to-face with students. Students will be encouraged to discuss communications with you (i.e. frequency, type, length) so as to set up mutually satisfactory expectations.
Describe what the project will cover. For example, a video relating to our organisation’s needs for funding for translators or awareness-raising opportunities at Murdoch University. Additionally, describe what the project will not cover. For example, a video content relating to the other services our organisation provides or awareness-raising opportunities at other universities.
Describe the budget and key item costings needed to successfully complete project.
Describe the potential operational risks that would be faced when initiating or running the project.
